Tej Kohli to speak at the FT Digital Energy Summit

London, 24th March 2016: Kohli Ventures has announced today that its chairman and founder, Mr. Tej Kohli, will be a keynote speaker at the FT Digital Energy Summit, taking place on the 15th September 2016. Mr. Kohli will be discussing how the next phase of digital and technology disruption will be transforming the renewable energies sector.

The FT Digital Energy Summit brings together leaders and experts from across the energy industry spectrum – oil and gas, utility, clean energy – their suppliers and digitally enhanced competitors to review how leading edge companies are driving business value with digital strategies.

A specialist in disruptive technologies, Tej Kohli, Chairman and CEO of Kohli Ventures, said: “I am delighted to be speaking at this globally recognised and highly distinguished conference. Discussing how new disruptive technologies can impact the energy sector is an essential part of the solution to moving the world away from non-renewable sources of energy and a key to unlocking greater economic growth for emerging and developing countries. Technology will continue to advance and push the dial in the renewable energy sector. The key is in finding those at the cutting edge to ensure first mover advantage”

Mr. Kohli will be joined by other eminent speakers such as: Willem Strabbing, Managing Director or ESMIG; Christian Buchel, Vice Chairman, EDSO4SG and Deputy-CEO, Chief Digital & International Officer, Electricité Réseau Distribution France (ERDF); and Dr. Bernard Gindroz, Sector Forum Energy Management (SFEM) Chair, CEN – CENELEC.

Kohli Ventures recently invested in Zynergy Energy to help expand their solar energy business in Asia through the manufacture of Cells, PV Modules, Inverters (Power Control Units) and other solar-based applications, supporting the Indian Government’s solar energy initiatives and helping to change the daily lives for many thousands of families living in India’s rural communities. In January 2016, Kohli Ventures and Zynergy launched a $100m investment drive to further support ground-breaking technology within the renewable energy sector by providing Zynergy with working capital to help it build the business, expand into new markets, and further develop its manufacturing and R&D capabilities.
